Our head trainer, Sonya, is fully insured and has over 25 years’ experience working with dogs of all sizes and breeds.

PUPPY TRAINING CLASSES
For new puppies (20 weeks and under), we suggest that you enrol in our Puppy Foundation Life Skills class. For older dogs (over 20 weeks) that are just starting their training journey, the Bronze Life Skills builds basic manners, confidence and life skills and would be most suitable.
In this class your puppy will make new friends and develop self-confidence as they build lifelong social skills. Watch your puppy demonstrate new behaviours and flourish in a stimulating environment while having a whole lot of fun! We will show you how to train your puppy using positive training techniques that make learning fast, fun, and motivating for both of you!
Foundation classes include all basic manners and life skills required to have a good start. Dogs can then move on to our Waggy improvers course once our foundation level is completed. Our courses run over 4 sessions lasting 1 and a half hours or 6 sessions lasting 1 hour. We keep a small class size of 4-6 dog owners and you'll receive detail notes after each class as well as ongoing support.
OUR PUPPY FOUNDATION LIFE SKILLS CLASS INCLUDES:
-
Basic obedience – sit, down, stay, leave, come, car/crate/bed etc.
-
Play skills - understanding and managing puppy play
-
Social skills – with other puppies and with humans, build confidence in a variety of settings, with exercises to help prevent aggression
-
Distraction skills – starts the process of learning to focus and work in a group setting
-
All things puppy – nipping, chewing, house training, and how to deal with these issues in a positive way
We also include a cup of tea/coffee at the end, sitting down to mimic the social environment. Everyone wants a dog they can go to a dog friendly cafe or pub with, who will settle down beside them whilst they socialise, and we teach this from day 1.
